Dear Me of 2025,
I want to remind you of what this year quietly taught you.
You learned that you cannot keep pouring from an empty place. That rest is not weakness, and boundaries are not selfish. You learned that not everyone deserves access to your inner world — and that protecting your peace is an act of self-respect.
You learned how work, relationships, and expectations can slowly shape you into someone you no longer recognize, if you let them. And you learned that it is allowed — necessary, even — to step back, reassess, and choose differently.
I want you to know that your quiet resilience did not go unnoticed. It shaped you into someone who could lead with steadiness, lift your team higher, protect them when needed, and offer your presence as a place of refuge when work became heavy.
You have grown into a better version of yourself — and you deserve the good that finds you.
I also want you to see what you did right.
You stayed.
You tried.
You kept going when progress felt invisible.
I am proud of the days you chose effort over motivation. Of the moments you rested without apology. Of the courage it took to admit when something no longer fit.
You did not abandon yourself this year.
And that is not nothing.
With recognition,
Present Me
